Established in 1988 the Peterborough & District Woodcarvers provides numerous benefits for its clubs members, including the camaraderie and fellowship experienced at club meetings.
Club membership is open to carvers of all abilities (beginners to advanced) no matter what your carving interest. Our members are friendly and knowledgeable, and always willing to lend a hand.
Club members have access to a large library of illustrated books & magazines, patterns and general reference materials. Club members also have access to the clubs fully equipped workshop.
New carvers are “buddied-up” with an experienced carver with similar carving interests. Carvers sit side-by-side during club meetings and carving shows learning and sharing their carving skills.
New carvers can borrow from the clubs collection of hand tools and carving knives to discover for themselves what tools they truly require before investing in their own.
Prospective members are encouraged to contact the club via email to arrange a visit during one of our meeting times to check out our facility.
Perspective members can use the facility free of charge for a period of time to determine if they are interested in becoming a member.
